That would be cool. Since I forgot my parachute, I just used my quadcopter to take the photos before checking into the hotel. ;)

Very cool

- Homosexuals are 8 times more likely to commit suicide than the general population
- Homosexuals account for more than half of all new AIDS cases
- Homosexuals account for over 70% of all new syphilis cases

That's really neat. How high do you think that is? Looks well over 500ft :).

I get real-time telemetry data including altitude (relative to starting point) but I don't remember exactly how high the quadcopter was when those pictures were taken. Probably somewhere around that.

Cool. What type of quadcopter do you have? Been wanting to get into that...

Ditto, I want to fly one off the back of my kayak and to scout spots from the air.

There are two things to be aware of with this particular quadcopter:

1) The camera is very wide angle (think GoPro). It's hard to see small things like people, animals, etc on the ground.
2) If you lose the connection for some reason, it has an auto return to home feature. It's a great feature, but it doesn't always work out well when launching from a boat for obvious reasons.

On that topic, here's a neat video of someone using the newest quad from DJI on a boat.

That's pretty cool. Anybody know what city that was towards the end?
