Is it a personal preference that I can set somewhere, or do you, as boardhost, have to set it so that when a link within a post is clicked it opens in a new tab or window? Currently it's leaving the board altogether, opening the external link in the same tab. New tab would be preferable!

I looked the other day and didn't see a way built in.

These two articles suggest server-side hacks hack to do it:

What I'd rather have is an add-in that makes it a user option.

I found a mod that lets me do it using jquery. I wonder if I can find a mod that lets me add custom user options ... if so, I could have it execute this jquery function iff you have the option selected.
