(BigDave, I hope you take my griping about this menial crap as a compliment - there's really not much to B&M about, but that's what sailors do)

There's redundancy in smilies which nobody uses - why do we need an "evil" and a "twisted evil" smiley? Why do we need a "nerd" and an "uber nerd" smiley? Why do we need a "sad" and a "very sad" smiley?

The "razz" smiley is ambiguous, same with the "wink" smiley (which looks more like a "hey sexy" wink than a "I'm joking" wink).

With that said, some boards have so many different "smileys" that people can respond using smiley hieroglyphs, so I'm not asking/recommending more - maybe just better ones.

The smileys are the ones that come with phpbb. If I were going to make a change, it would probably be to completely get rid of smileys and signatures. ;)

I actually have signatures turned off for me (you can do that in your profile settings). I had to do that ... I don't remember whose it is, but someone had a family guy animation that looked like he was pooping out of his mouth and it gave me an upset stomach when I viewed it so I had to get rid of them.

That was a candy bar, not poop! I only had it up for a few minutes, it was even annoying to me....
