"Who knows what evil lurks in the mind of a cat?"
Getting a coon for the battleax on the weekend of 8/13.
Male born 5/18 and costing me an arm a leg and two toes.
Going to be a surprise. Initially a birthday present, then an anniversary present.
Now it's "hurry up and arrive". Hard to keep a surprise in suspense for four months.

Expecting him to grow and be massive, with a gregarious personality, and act sorta like a dog.awesome guy wrote:I'd get a blue tick to handle the coonmiles wrote:"Who knows what evil lurks in the mind of a cat?"

Hopefully. Like I said, who knows what evil lurks in the mind of a cat?

So I put (the dead dog) on her doorstep!

Soon we'll have planes that fly 22000 mph
"#PedoPete" = Hunter's name for his dad.

Shelly doesn't miss any meals, does she?Major Kong wrote:The dog looks like our Shelly.
We're keeping two dogs and a cat right now while daughter, son -in-law and two grandkids are on vacation.
We'll get criticized for their weight gain. Ah, well, that's our job: spoil them rotten, then send them home.
Not our problem

She has epilepsy and the drugs have played hell with her metabolism...before the seizures she went about 70 pounds now she's 100 pounds.miles wrote: Shelly doesn't miss any meals, does she?

At least her seizures have gone from 2 or 3 a day to one or two a month.

What a handsome young fella! My niece has a Maine Coon and she is a sweetheart. We have a Siberian Forest Cat just a bit smaller and he's a big clown.miles wrote:We're getting John.

Does your entire family including pets have medical problems? Damn, you must be descended from JobMajor Kong wrote:What a handsome young fella! My niece has a Maine Coon and she is a sweetheart. We have a Siberian Forest Cat just a bit smaller and he's a big clown.miles wrote:We're getting John.
On a lighter note, does your rooskie eat small pests like Yorkies or Chihuahuas. I can see where he would be useful.
Male coons are supposed to be clownish, with the females having more dignity.

Maine Coons are beautiful cats. I'd get one if: they didn't shed; or I wasn't fond of my leather furniture.

Re: Kitten reads the Qua'ran.......
Shelly is a rescue and my wife fell in love with her as a puppy...she was the only puppy from her litter that lived and the mama was killed by a car next to where our former store is. The owner didn't want her so we took her at 8 weeks old. She's a real sweetheart and the seizures started 3 years ago. She's allergic to phenobarbital but she does real well on Potassium Bromide (liquid) and neurotin. All the other 3 dogs and 5 cats are alright.miles wrote:Does your entire family including pets have medical problems? Damn, you must be descended from Job

As to our Siberian. He thinks he's a dog and doesn't hang with the 4 female cats. He's fixed but he still hunts. I don't know when I've seen the last mole, shrew or mouse. He did bring my wife a small garter snake a few weeks ago. He doesn't pick on our Pom at all but he and our Aussie Shepherd are about the same age and we've had them about the same length of time have formed a bond and pick at each other.
