Tropical Storm Cindy is a comin'...
Tracking this way from the Gulf. Should be going thru here some time Friday evening then into Central VA/NOVA on Saturday.
My mind goes back to the nightmare that was Camille in '69. Tracking the same though initially nowhere near as strong.

on average there is a tropical storm in June every other year and a hurricane in June every 5 years. But don't let data and facts get in the way of a good climate change theory chicken little.
Looks like the only thing 1984 got wrong was the date.

Do you really want to have an analysis of the strength and timing of hurricanes over the last 10 - 20 years as compared to historical norms.USN_Hokie wrote:Hurricane season began 3 weeks ago Al Gore.ip_law-hokie wrote: You reds are insecure. It is early. That's all.

It is rare, in the context of centuries of data, for there to be a storm to impact land in June.

This thread is a great example of how global warming (veganism is too, but that's another story... ) is a religion for the left. Postmodernists like to condescend about how they've rejected established religion, when all they've done is replace it with a much more rudimentary form of religion.
