He actually said this. Huge job growth in the coal cleaning segment.
Donald Trump is a stupid man's idea of a smart man, a poor man's idea of a rich man, and a weak man's idea of a strong man.

yes, coal mining is a tough profession, keep in mind that these days machines do most of the work so people are not near as exposed as they used to be. Of course being a crab fisherman is a very tough profession also, or a power lineman or hundreds of other jobs.... for instance NFL fball player.... and people still do themip_law-hokie wrote:Exactly. Again, many places on the planet continue to use coal to produce electricity and run their economies and that is not changing soon, first due to cost and second due to alternatives. Just ask China

You state the reason why there is no net benefit to "saving" coal: it doesn't yield the jobs that it's supporters would lead you to believe that it does. I acknowledge that they are high paying jobs for uneducated workers, but those uneducated workers have largely been outsourced to machines.cwtcr hokie wrote:yes, coal mining is a tough profession, keep in mind that these days machines do most of the work so people are not near as exposed as they used to be. What's presidential? The wrapper, or the content?
He is charged with protecting me, and protecting the US Constitution
Nothing (NOTHING!!!) Trump wants to do is as damaging to this country as the many things Obama did and wanted to do.
Tanking our vibrant health industry, hurting & disincenting R&D. Using the IRS to harass perceived opponents. Weapons to Mexican drug lords. Nukes and cash to Iran. Undermining race relations. Undermining immigration law. Spying on the press. State department kickbacks and payola. Benghazi. $$$ to dysfunctional fake green projects. $$ to Wall Street. None of this was "presidential".
Trump is easy to dislike. He comes in a gaudy wrapper.
But wake me up if he hands nukes over to an enemy.

You seem caught up on the wrapping. The form.
I'm focusing more on the function to judge "presidentiality"
Obama was handsome, dressed well, spoke great....sometimes warm and humorous. But like our last two "form over function" guys, was an unmitigated disaster. I sense your fingers in your ears, yelling "nya, nya, nya!" when these things are discussed.
